This anime has been ongoing for a long time. You may even feel ridiculous; why are these old grandfather stories still ongoing? The anime have started since 1994, three year before I was born. At the start of the series, the main character was being poison and he shrunk as a result. This anime is mainly about the person who is Conan (the kid) attempt to return to Kudo (the teenager), which is his true form.

In my opinion, this anime was a very good example of a detective genre anime. The writer successfully writes the plot in a way how the mystery was created, the process of the crime and reasoning of who the murderer is. The writer have to consider the way to explaining the process of the crime and the way to do it is to proof who is the culprit is. However, it is a bit sad. I believe that there is a rush to create the episodes. The writer have slight neglect the motive of the crime. The reasoning of the motive of the crime is not too well developed and did not fully explain the background stories. That is what I personally feel sad about.

Looking at the anime from the first episode to the latest one, it is like walking down the path of the animation from ancient technology in the 1990’s to now. At that time, the animation and quality are not as good as now.

They also have movies and special Sunday episodes which are also fairly enjoyable to watch. The anime is pretty long as there are many years of episodes. The movie and the specials are much better compared to the normal episodes as the explanation is better and clearer. Overall, the anime is best in the plot except for certain parts of it and animation style is slowly improving.
