Hello, it’s been a
long time since our blog have a new anime review, I am so sorry about that. But
fear not I am here to introduce another anime review. Today the anime that I
wish to tell you about is ‘ Kamisama Hajimemashita’ or also known as ‘Kamisama
Kiss’.
This anime is about a
16 years old high school girl named Momozono Nanami finding her love through
various challenges. But there is one thing that make this typical shoujo anime
stands out in my own favorite anime list, which is that Nanami is not a normal
high school girl rather she is a land god. Well some things happen in her life,
which led her to become the first human land god in their mysterious other
world ( the god and spirit world that is). Want to know how Nanami became a
land god and how she find her love? Then check this anime one, trust me this
anime worth your time for it.

Review
Well enough of the
synopsis and head towards the review on this anime. As I have mention above,
this anime is one of my favorite anime (even though its not my most favorite
one). I am attracted to this anime is because the characters. (ok maybe
partially is because of the storyline). The characters are very cool looking
and handsome which sort of attracted me and made me to continue watching it.
There is a character
name Tomoe, he is a fox spirit who works as a familiar for the previous land
god . But he became Nanami’s familiar after she became the land god. There’s
also a very interesting relationship between him and Nanami. I will not spoilt
to much about both of them.
Next is a character
named Kurama, he is a famous idol in the human world. He have many fans, but
because of his age, he have to attend school which is incidentally is Nanami’s
school. After knowing that she is a land god, he was trying his best to gain
the god power by killing Nanami. However, why does he want to gain the god
power, in the first place how does he even know Nanami is a god? Is he even a
human? Well, this information is for you to find out.
Okay I shall stop here
about the characters and talk about their opening and ending songs .
Both their opening and
ending songs are quite catchy and hyper in a sense that will make you feel
happy. Personally, I don’t really like
the melody of the songs but the lyrics are nice. For their opening song, it is
talking about a girl wanting to stop being a good girl and want to try to be a
bad girl for a day, like lifting up her skirt (which girl would do that?).
I shall stop here for

Hello everyone, its Janice here. Sorry for not being able to update and put on new anime reviews recently. As this is actually one of my course's team graded assignment, thus we have created this blog to get our marks for this graded assignment. But I will be continuing this blog as I've seen that some of you have been following our blog. I will soon be posting anime reviews in the near future so you all can look forward for it. One piece is an anime that has been on-going for quite a
long time. I believe that it has gone on for so long because it is funny and
has a great storyline. Luffy, the main character, is a pirate crew’s captain.
He actually started out with nothing but passion to be a pirate king and
determination from his friend, Shanks.
Surprisingly, Luffy’s weird or maybe unique personality were
able to recruit many different types of crew members. All of them are very
strong and very important friend of his. I feel that he has the all for one and
one for all attitude which makes me admire him.
The story of the anime is very entertaining although the
episodes are pretty short to me. Whenever I watch this anime, I cannot help but
burst laugh or have some tears in my eyes as it is very touching. Many emotions
were brought out of me as I watch this anime. The crew itself also have many
crew members with interesting personalities.
The Straw Hat Crew (Luffy’s pirate crew name), will not be
the way it is without every member. I like Chopper in the anime the most. He is
the doctor in the crew and is not human. He is a reindeer, often mistaken as a
racoon dog. He is very cute and also very funny at the same time.
Watch One Piece to figure out which crew member you would
like most! And maybe comment below your favourite character and why that

Today I will be introducing you all another ongoing anime series. However
before I start, I will kindly inform y’all that this anime that I am going to
introduce is a boys’ love anime. So those who are uncomfortable with same gender
relationship, please kindly skip this review as it may cause you some discomfort.

Now that I have given
you the warning, I shall begin with my post for today. The anime that I am
going to introduce to you all is Love Stage! .
This anime is about a
college student named Izumi Sena who is an Otaku ( someone who loves to read
manga and watch animes) too.
However, Izumi is not
an ordinary college students. Even though he may look dull and boring, he is
born into a famous and super-talented family as his father, mother and brother
are all very famous in the entertainment industry. Izumi always wanted to be a
mangaka ( someone who draws comics) ever since he saw an anime character –
“Magical Girl Lala Lulu”.
But one day, he was
asked to act in a sequel of an wedding advertisement that he was casted in ten
years prior… as a girl. However, he would have to act as a female again. ( Want
to know what happen? You will know it once you watch the anime). After much
protest by Izumi, he finally accept this job where he winds up in an awkward
moment with his co-star, Ryouma Ichijou ( who is a very famous actor and singer
in the show). What awkward moment did they ended up in? Stay tuned to this
anime to know.
For this anime, I
have only know about it when I first seen the teaser for this anime. Most of my
friends believed that Izumi is a girl however, I know that Izumi is a guy
immediately once he came out in the teaser.(He is a wedding dress and long hair
wig) Okay let put these details aside and get to the real point. I have
immediately fallen in love with this anime the moment I finished watching the
first episode. I totally love the comedic (and cute) scenes that this anime has.
The voice actors
portray their characters very well, which made me laugh a lot as they have used
unique voices to help the viewer to understand the story better. I am very
surprise that the voice actor of Izumi is able to make those inaudible speech.

Akuma no Riddle is a Assassination type of anime. There are
12 Assassins in the class built on to kill 1 of themselves to get a wish as a
reward. But Soon, one of the 12 assassins becomes the target’s protector
instead. It’s an Action, School, Yuri type of anime. Since it’s a type of anime
focused about assassins, There are some blood and gore, but not too much.
Story 8/10
The Story was well thought out and left out an unexpected end (Not going to
spoil). Although it was Cliché at some points, it is still different from other
animes and the story is unique from others.
Characters 8/10
Out of 11 out of 12 of the characters, each of them bare something in common,
they have the same common emotion to kill. Each of them showed the same
devilish face with the intention to kill. Even though they all have the same
thing in common, they all have their individual personalities well.
Animation and Sound 7/10
The Animation and Sound of this average. The Emotions of the characters were
displayed well whether they are sad or happy or crazy. The Sound was good and the
voice actors displayed well and good emotion.
Enjoyment 8/10
I enjoyed this anime as in each episode, I wanted to know what will happen in
the next. It builds up so well especially wanting to know what will happen to
each and every one of the assassins along the way. Everyone also has a
different way of killing the target, which makes it enjoyable even more.
Overall 7.5/10
It is a great anime to be looking forward to especially when it was on-going. After
going through the first 2 episodes, the story started to pick up and each of
their characters have their own time to shine. Overall, I liked this anime and I
was able to remember each of their characters well.
Synopsis
Set two years after the events of Final Fantasy VII, Cloud Strife and Tifa Lockheart was called by Rufus Shinra, Shinra Company Former President. He ask Cloud to stop the manifestations of Sephiroth, a former SOLDIER of Shinra Company, Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo. However, Cloud refused to help Rufus. Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo planned to resurrect Sephiroth using the remains of Jenova, an Extraterrestrial. The three then abducted the GeoStigma , a disease, infected children so that they can reunite with Jenova. Now Cloud and his friends have to rescue the children and stop the three to save the city of Edge.
My Review
Final Fantasy VII Advent Children is an anime movie that is set a couple of years after the events of the Final Fantasy VII franchise. The movie tells the story of what has happen after the defeat of Septhiroth. The world was turn in turmoil as a new disease, with no cure, spread across the newly build city "Edge". Cloud Strife return as the main character together with Tifa Lockheart and his another companions. The plot of the movie was understandable but it can confuse people who did not play the game, as it follows up from the game itself. However, the flashy and exciting fighting scenes were so spectacular that I find myself rewinding and re-watching the scenes again. Other than the fighting scene, the story was not rushed but I felt like that could have made the story better. The movie have a good soundtrack and also used the most memorable soundtrack from the game itself. Overall, Advent Children is a good anime movie to watch and i recommend this movie to anyone, specially the Final Fantasy VII fans. I rate this movie 8 / 10.
This anime is the first anime that I watched. This story revolves
about this organization called Afterlife Battlefront (SSS) in a special
world. The people who come into this world, have some lingering attachment
about something or someone. They felt that they have died unjustly. They come
to this world to realize what gain the memories of the lingering attachment and
learn to move on and forgot about those attachment. If they manage to do so,
they will move on and became NPC (who are students and teachers in the world).
However, Afterlife Battlefront feel that god is unfair to them that this thing
happen to them. They decided fight against the God. In this case, they think
that it is the head of the student leader (Angel).
This anime is a fantasy and supernatural that is
action-packed. The conflict between Angel and SSS are very fierce. Despite
that, the problem of the god continue. Some of the member managed to put down
the attachment and became NPC. I personally feel that the plot is good if you
are a big fan of fantasy or supernatural. It describe unfair thing that happen
to people. It may be man-made or natural. The feeling is well describe in this
story.
The design and animation is one of the big selling point of
this anime. I like that classical design of most anime. But I have say this the
skirt are toooo short. The background of the scene are well-chosen. It manage
to bring out the situation and the setting that they faces. The song are very
closely related to the storyline. It is giving a general feeling of the anime.
Overall, this anime is worth watching. This interesting plot
and HD quality of videos are well animated. This story will not be the just the
usual storyline of the two people fall in love (common in anime).
Hello, today I will
be introducing you one of my all-time favorite anime series. Well this anime is
actually ongoing but it is linked to other two series that shares the same
name. Kuroshitsuji:
Book of Circus is the anime. This anime is in the Victorian-era Europe which depicts a story
about young boy named Ciel Phantomhive who have made a deal with a demon (who became his butler named Sebastian Michaelis after the contract is sealed)
with his soul for revenge on people who have humiliated him and killed both of
his parents. Due to the death of his parents, he succeeded his family named at
the tender age of 12 handling
his familybusiness affairs along with his family’s secret identity which asthe Queen’s guard dog.
As the guard dog, he have to handle underground work - serial
killers, drugs, illegal
immigrants whatsoever. Besides Sebastian, he too recruited three more servants (
Bardroy- chef, Finnian- Gardener. Mey-rin – maid). However, these three
servants always messes up their work in some way or another but they all have
special abilities. Interested in knowing what abilities they have? It’s a
secret. You should find it out yourself.
The above summary is
just about the beginner's information, this particular Book of Circus series, it reflects
only on Noah’s Ark Circus Arc from the original manga. It is about a travelling circus arriving London for
their circus performance, however there are signs of missing children from the
cities they have visited and performed during the period of them at those
cities. This made the Queen to be concerned about the children in London would
be the next batch of children who will get missing. In order to solve the Queen’s concern,
Ciel would have infiltrate into the Noah’s Ark Circus to find out the missing
children. Did he succeed in finding those children? Stay tuned to this anime
series to find out.
Okay, time for my
reviews. Well, as I have said before this is my all-time favorite anime series.
As this story have a hint of supernatural and along with a large splash of humor which sparks
my interest and attracted me. Firstly, Ciel is so adorable
that I have the urged to cuddle him (if he is real) and Sebastian
is so handsome and his famous line “I’m one hell of a butler” and “Yes, My
Lord” have made him more than plain charming, in addition his loved for cats is on a different level from other fellow anime cat lovers. Because of Sebastian, my fear for demon is overwritten. Well, how can a demon this hot be scary?
Secondly, this
ongoing anime series have comedic scenes that made me laugh heartily. For
example:
Thirdly, I seriously
hate those people who used Ciel as a sacrificial lamb to summon a demon for
their own wishes but they did not succeed as the one that summon the demon is
Ciel which gave him the opportunity to get revenge for his parents.
The arts of this
series is getting defined than the previous two seasons. However, I still
prefer the first season's illustration as it looks better and not as bright and
light-colored as this new series.

FUN FACT: Ciel Phantomhive is actually voiced acted by a female voice actor. So I’m sure
that you will be shocked when you heard his voice as his voiced doesn’t sounds
like a female at all.
One more thing, the
ending songs for these Kuroshitsuji series are my favorites. As they give the
listeners a feeling of the despair and emptiness the main characters are feeling.
Despite the fact that
this is the third series of Kuroshitsuji, it does not have much links with the
first two series as this series is adapted from the manga while the first two
series have only adapt some parts from the manga and the rest of the storylines are not linked to the manga thus you can watch this series
without the knowledge of the previous two. Here is the teaser of this series.

What kind of truth awaits them?
My Review
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is an anime adaptation of the manga "Fullmetal Alchemist". The comedic, action-adventure anime has a good storyline as it is filled with conspiracies and plot twist that will blow your mind. The anime is also filled with memorable fighting scenes and comedic scenes that will make you laugh hard. The flow of the storyline is good as it has sufficient amount of time and episodes to tell the story. I was able to understand the storyline as the details given in the anime was sufficient. However, the anime tends to be “draggy” as it can take up more episodes when it can be told in just a few episodes. Despite it being “draggy”, the fighting scenes and comedic scenes makes the anime much better. Overall, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is a good anime with a great storyline and I would highly recommend you to watch, especially teenagers. I rate this anime 8.5 / 10.

This anime has been ongoing for a long time. You may even
feel ridiculous; why are these old grandfather stories still ongoing? The anime
have started since 1994, three year before I was born. At the start of the
series, the main character was being poison and he shrunk as a result. This
anime is mainly about the person who is Conan (the kid) attempt to return to
Kudo (the teenager), which is his true form.
In my opinion, this anime was a very good example of a
detective genre anime. The writer successfully writes the plot in a way how the
mystery was created, the process of the crime and reasoning of who the murderer
is. The writer have to consider the way to explaining the process of the crime
and the way to do it is to proof who is the culprit is. However, it is a bit
sad. I believe that there is a rush to create the episodes. The writer have
slight neglect the motive of the crime. The reasoning of the motive of the
crime is not too well developed and did not fully explain the background stories.
That is what I personally feel sad about.
Looking at the anime from the first episode to the latest
one, it is like walking down the path of the animation from ancient technology
in the 1990’s to now. At that time, the animation and quality are not as good
as now.
They also have movies and special Sunday episodes which are
also fairly enjoyable to watch. The anime is pretty long as there are many
years of episodes. The movie and the specials are much better compared to the
normal episodes as the explanation is better and clearer. Overall, the anime is
best in the plot except for certain parts of it and animation style is slowly
improving.
Clannad After Story is an anime that comes from Clannad (one of recommended anime mentioned previously).
After Story simply means that what happens to each character after they have
somewhat graduated from high school. However, the main characters are still
Nagisa and Tomoya (Okazaki). They are now a married couple and this anime shows
how they go about their life. Of course it is not like how ordinary marriages
work. It still has many hilarious, touching and sad moments.
My favourite part is when Tomoya finally accepts what he
denies for a long time. It feels like he just overcome a huge barrier of life.
About what this obstacle is, you will have to watch the anime to find out.
However, this anime is still quite confusing. It all comes to light at the last
episode. It is impossible to skip an episode as each episode links to each
other. It just would not be complete without all the episodes. If you asked me
whether I prefer Clannad or Clannad After Story, I will say both are awesome!
The reason being that 2 anime feels like a whole. You cannot watch Clannad
After Story without watching Clannad, vise versa. Therefore, I have recommended
Clannad and Clannad After Story, both of them for you to watch.
I personally would rate it 12/10. The animation may look
very unrealistic. Super big eyes and sparkling like stars. But the story line,
the plot is just too good that it made me ignore how the animation is like. The
characters are very cute as well especially Okazaki couple! Watch this anime
right now! Stop everything now, procrastinate or whatever! Just watch this
particular anime right now! :D
Watched Sword Art Online(SAO)? Prefer less romance but more in-depth game detail type of anime? Then Log Horizon is an anime that you should watch. It has the same genre as the “Highly liked” Sword Art Online but only with less Romance, Harem and Drama. Difference between Log Horizon to Sword Art Online is that its storytelling base is more towards the game and society itself. Characters and the game’s world itself are explained in more detail than SAO.
Story: 9/10
The Story is based around the same as SAO, A large number of people being trapped in an online game and being unable to log out and return to the real world. BUT!. Players who die in the game will not die but revived in the last visited town they were in. Once the players figured that out, they started living in the game normally and act as though nothing can go against them. The Main Protagonist, Along with his team, starts to discover strange thing that happens to the society of the world they live in now. There were problems that occured in the society. Stealing, Discrimination, Abuse cases were all caused by different players inside the game. Thus, the story is about how the main protagonist solves all these problems and fixes the rules in the society that people can once again live well and be safe in the game.
Characters: 7.5/10
The Characters in the game were all diversed as expected in such multiplayer game. There are many different players with different classes till you can hardly see 2 of the same type of class characters together. The Main Protagonist’s Personality and character design matches him very well. He is a smart , scheming and one of the best strategic person you will ever want to be. Although there is character development in some characters of the anime, there is not really much difference and development from start to the end.
Animation and sound : 8/10
There is nothing much i could say about the animation and sound. But that does not mean it is badly animated. The Setting and character designs were great and each major character looks different. They also made sure details of vines, and forest-like attributes in the setting of their town. The Magic animation they used also felt great like how normal MMORPG games would be. Sound wise was just….normal… not too bad and not too great.
Enjoyment: 9/10
As a gamer like myself who likes to play MMORPG games, I Enjoyed alot when watching this anime. They do not leave you out on some minor character details such as what the skill this do and what plan was made before the action took place. Is that during fight scenes or a plan being in action, they do not leave you out on what happened and why this happened. They explained it well and clearly. Another thing i liked about this anime is that when i was watching, it makes me feel like I want to live in such place, I wish that such fantasy was real, or at least a game like this was real. The only thing that pulls the enjoyment level down is some of the episodes began to become real slow. I like how they explain the story clearly and slowly but… it slow builds each after each week starts to get boring really fast. But i like well explained details and i was patient enough to watch it through.

It is one of my most favourite anime due to its aspects that i have mentioned. The number of characters are alot more, just that i did not want to mention them and want you to find out for yourself when you watch. Animation and sound was not bad but it was not that great either. Story telling was there and able to get you hooked in some of the episodes. But the it could get abit slow for a few episodes especially in the middle. So If you like to watch a gaming anime, with more detailed explanation, SAO with less Romance, do not mind large amount of talking. then i recommend you this anime to watch.

today I will be introducing you Durarara or commonly known as DRRR. It is one
of the typical shounen anime, which means it consists of many fighting scenes.
This anime features on three high school students when all three of them have
their own gang. Firstly, Ryuugamine Mikado. He is a countryside guy who dreams
of enjoying the city life. One day, his childhood friend, Kida Masaomi gave him
an invitation to move and transfer to his school in Ikebukuro. Masaomi has warned him about people he should not offend in
the city: a champion fighter, an informant, and a mysterious gang called
Dollars. Nervous from Masaomi's stories, Mikado witnesses an urban legend on
his first day in the city, the Headless Rider astride a black motorcycle. From
then on, the existence of supernatural cases and a gang called the Yellow Scarf
will rise to the surface, and Ikebukuro
will pushed to the breaking point. Want to know what will happen within this
anime? Check this anime out.
Personally I feel that this anime is fun
and nice to watch as it features the lives of three high schoolers- Masaomi,
Mikado and Anri on how they overcome different hardship to be able to protect
their beloved.
Other than these three high schooler, this
anime also featured on other characters. My favourite ones would be Orihara
Izaya, Heiwajima Shizuo and Kishitani Shinra.
In the show, Shizuo
(the guy with blonde hair and wearing a sunglass) tends to throw things like lamp
post or more commonly, vending machines at Izaya (the guy with black hair and
jacket) every time he sees him. As Shizuo always have a grudge at Izaya ever
since they first met each other, due to the fact that Izaya wanted to hurt and
killed Shizuo the first time they met, introduced by Shinra (the guy wearing
spectacles and a white lab coat). I like these three characters is because
Shizuo and Izaya will always be fighting with each other. Their fights
sometimes will be very epic, sometimes it will be very funny. For example, there
is one scene where Izaya was talking to Masaomi, Mikado and Anri. Suddenly a
trash bin was thrown towards him and he flew quite a distance away from the
group. This shocked both the characters and me too.
While for Shinra, he
is like a joker. But he is very clever too, the rumor about the headless rider
is actually his girlfriend. He loves her a lot, which made him act like an
idiot in front of his lover.
The voice actors of
these characters are able to allow the viewers to understand and feel how the
characters feel. As for the songs featured in this show, they are nice too,
especially the first ending song title – Trust me which is sung by Yuya Matsushita.
The animation of the characters are awesome too, it depicts the emotions of the
characters with the help of the voice actors perfectly. This anime is truly
awesome, I highly recommend you to go check this anime out.
Today, I
would like to introduce to you a new anime. The genre of this anime are
sci-fiction, fantasy and romance. The setting is in a high school. The main
character are Haru and Kuroyuriihine, male and female respectively. Haru is a
short fat little boy and was frequently bullied by his classmate. In the school
network, he feels safe and shows his anger towards the bully by playing squash.
He played squash very well. However, one day, he lost a game. It was
Kuroyuriihine that won in the match. She was very impressed by his reaction
speed and decided to invite him to a game, Brain Burst. It is a Virtual Reality
Massively Multiplayer Online (VRMMO).
This anime
revolves around Brain Burst. This game has the ability to accelerate a human’s
thinking process to a point that it feels like time and space stops. It is very
interesting to have the ability to accelerate human brain. I often put myself
in the character’s shoes and imagine myself in the game. Perhaps in the future,
there will be the Virtual World where people are immersed in it. Not just by living,
but by playing and working in it.
The design of
the characters are good in general. They used radicals and the lighting to
depict the scene and the effect, showing the feelings of the character or the
situation. The plot is similar to Sword Art Online. The story also shows the
game (VRMMO) in a special way. The way to win to the game is to defeat all the
King in the game (all the level 9) to reach level 10. Winning the game is
important to Kuroyuriihine as she wants to know the purpose of the game. In her
journey towards it, Haru was introduced to the game met her friends and foes.
Will she be able to know the purpose of the game? Will she succeed in her
finding?
Clannad is a very romantic and hilarious anime. The story
revolves around this couple, Nagisa and Tomoya. They first met under a tree
where Nagisa was reciting a phrase she remembered from her memories. It
confused Tomoya but that was the start of how they became friends. The scenery
just from there was so beautiful, her voice also suits the background
altogether. Nagisa is my favourite character as I feel like she has the
funniest and has the most interesting personality that in reality, it would not
happen.
However, the story is a little complicated. You will have to
watch both Clannad and Clannad After Story to understand it fully. It is a very
beautiful anime as it is very meaningful. If you are into literature, this
anime will bring you to tears and amuse you as well!
Throughout the anime, the main character and the sub
characters will have more character development but their personality will stay
the same. This is partially why I love this anime. Enough chit chat here and go
watch the anime! It is just too good to put it into words!
